We are currently looking for a Sous Chef

Sous Chef, Pizza (M/F/X)

We are looking for a sous-chef in our kitchen. We are a successful, high-volume restaurant, and are looking for a sous-chef to join us. Experience with Neapolitan-style pizza making is a plus, extensive kitchen experience a must. You can expect to work with and learn from some of the finest pizza bakers in Berlin. Join our team, and help us developing Gazzo to new heights!

Tasks of the role include:

  • Manage the kitchen when the head chef is not present

  • Baking world-class pizza

  • Organizing trainings and developing the team

  • Organizing mise-en-place

  • Etc.

Gazzo is a fun place, always bustling and busy. We believe in sourcing artisanal produce – local when available, but always delicious, sustainable and natural. We choose produce we love, and are transparent about it. We help our guests fight against a greedy food industry one bite at a time – and having a blast doing so!

YOU

  • Team player

  • Great attitude, meaning no attitude

  • Leadership experience

  • Passion for sharing expertise, and teaching others

  • Training as a chef – either through school or through training programs

  • Experience from quality restaurants. Pizza experience is a big plus – passion and willingness to learn a must

  • Like to work fast, under high pressure

  • Passion for artisan produce

  • English (able to communicate effectively). German is a plus.
